GN Oil Sludge Treatment Centrifuge Unit for South America Client

Oil sludge, a by-product of the oil and gas industry, is a complex mixture of water, oil, and solid particles. Its proper treatment is

not only crucial for environmental compliance but also for resource recovery.

The GN Oil Sludge Treatment system is an integrated system designed to handle oil sludge efficiently. It comprises three main

modules:

Sludge Conveying Module: This module is responsible for transporting the sludge to the treatment area. It ensures a smooth and

continuous flow of material, setting the stage for effective processing.

Tank Cleaning Inclined Plate Clarifier Module:  The lamella plate is designed to separate oil and solid particles from the sludge

through sedimentation. This process helps in reducing the load on the subsequent treatment stages.

Three-Phase Decanter Centrifuge Module: The three-phase decanter centrifuge, is designed to achieve the ultimate goal of

separating oil, water, and solids. This advanced decanter centrifuge is capable of handling complex mixtures and extracting

valuable resources while minimizing waste.

The three-phase decanter centrifuge is designed to separate three distinct phases—solid, heavy liquid, and light liquid—based on

their different densities. This centrifuge operates on the principle of centrifugal force, which enables the separation of materials

with varying densities.

GN’s three-phase decanter centrifuges are available in different drum sizes, including 360mm, 450mm, and 550mm, to cater to

varying capacities and requirements. The design and functionality of the three-phase centrifuge are similar to that of a two-phase

centrifuge, with the primary difference being the discharge of the liquid phases. In a three-phase centrifuge, the heavy liquid phase

is discharged under pressure, while the light liquid phase is discharged without pressure.
