1. GN Cutting Dryer
GN930C-VFD can treat drilling waste 30 T/H to 50 T/H, the effective treating capacity is around 35 T/H. Rotating speed is adjustable with 900 RPM. Now GN cuttings dryer is the only one in China can handle OBM and WBM at the same time. GN cuttings dryer can handle with synthetic base mud. Now GN Solids Control manufactures about 60 sets of cuttings dryer every year.
2. GN shale shaker
GNZS594HGE-LD shale shaker is especially designed for drying cuttings. The vibration G force is upto 8 G when working.
3. GN mud tank and pumps
Here we use two mud tanks, the shale shaker and cuttings dryer can be fixed in these two mud tanks separately. There are some other auxiliary parts such as feed pump and flush pump.
The working process of this system:
All the drilling cuttings must be separated by shale shaker in advance, then these solids will be transferred by screw conveyor to GN cuttings dryer. By using GN cuttings dryer, most of the fluids will be separated out. The screen opening of our cuttings dryer is about 0.25mm to 5mm. Then the fluids will be feed to GN H-G shale shaker, here it will make the further drying work.

Sometimes, the drilling fluids can be sent to GN H-G shale shaker directly without the vertical cuttings dryer. However, in order to reuse the drilling fluids, all of the above fluids from vertical cutting dryer or H-G shale shaker must be treated by GN decanter centrifuge. Only in this way, we can get separated the solids that larger than 5 microns.

GN Solids Control has provided many sets of mud recycling system, some of these solids control systems are designed and manufactured on customers’ particular demands.
Take one set of mud recycling system as an example, GN has provided a double function solids control system for core drilling and CBM (coal bed methane). Usually, there are large differences between core drilling mud system and CBM mud system due to these two drilling methods needs different amounts of drilling mud.
For core drilling, the mud system is usually has the treating capacity of 50 GPM, while for CBM drilling, the treating capacity of mud system is reach to 500 GPM.
And the separating demands of core drilling and CBM drilling is not the same, either. Generally speaking, the diameter of solids from core drilling mud system is less than 20 microns; on the other side, the solids’ diameter is usually larger than 20 microns.
This mud system including the following equipments:
1. Mud Cleaner
GN mud cleaner is composed of dual layer shale shaker and desilter. The type is GNYZ 703E-8N, it has 8 hydro cyclones which are made of PU.

2. Mini Decanter Centrifuge:
The type is GNLW223. It is one baby decanter centrifuge that is designed especially for diamond core drilling.

3. Feed Pump:
Using Nemo pump to feed the decanter centrifuge, this pump is a positive displacement type which can avoid agitating when feeding. There are also some other centrifugal pumps that used to feed the desilter, as well as some pumps worked together with mixing hopper on mixing tank.
4. Mud Agitator:
For the mixing compartments, there are several mud agitators located on the tank, GN mud agitator is one cost-effective type for mud agitating.
5. Mud tank:
Here we use one mud tank with the length of 8m. All the above equipments can be fixed on this mud tank.

1. The first way is using excavators, the surface oil sands can be can be dig and transferred to a truck, and transported to a treating and refinery factory. This cost of this way is relatively low, but the damage to lands is very large.
2. The second method is called “SAGD”, which means steam assisted gravity drainage. The other processes are quite the same as explore the conventional oil.

As we all know, GN mud guns are used for flush the corners of the fluids in mud tanks, and they are usually working together with mud agitators. When a mud agitator is keep the solids rotating in mud tank, the mud gun can help to work on the corner due the large working pressure.
There are two common types for GN mud guns, one is a fixed type (which means the mud gun is fixed on a mud tank and can only work for the specific angle), the other type is a rotating one, the mud gun can rotating by adjusting the hand lever on the top. Usually, we recommend customers to use rotating type, although it is a little expensive, it is quite convenient to use. The working length of mud gun shaft can be decided by the height of tank.

Today, we would like to give you a brief introduction about our screw conveyor (which is also known as auger). GN Solids Control has provided many sets of screw conveyors every year for worldwide customers.
For the screw conveyor, it is mainly used for transferring mud or solids, when it contains too much water, we don’t recommend using conveyor.
GN has some different types, from conveying capacity 20 tons per hour to 45 tons per hour. All these capacity can fulfill the general demands of mud transfer.

Sometimes, we have one screw conveyor with V type collection box. There are some flanges with pipes on the V type collection box. This kind of screw conveyor is especially used for oily sludge transfer. The quantity is different due to the length of screw conveyor.
Flanges and pipes on the V type box are used for providing hot steam, so the oily sludge can have a good flow ability. There is also one beam across this conveyor, it is used for distributing oily sludge to the two ends.
There is also one type of screw conveyor with heating system, which is equipped with pipes under the cylindrical part of conveyor. And this type is mainly suitable for cold environment. Lately, we also provided some set of these screw conveyors with heating system to Russia clients.

Recently, GN Solids Control Co has provided many sets of solids control equipments for our client in Kuwait. This client has purchased GN equipments for th

eir work over drilling rig. When we cooperate with client at the beginning, we showed our willness to have a win-win cooperation by providing solids control equipments with good quality.
And this year this gave us a large order which including 8 sets of GN shale shakers ( the type is GNZS594E-HB), 4 sets of GN vacuum degassers (the type is GNZCQ 270), 4 sets of GN desanders, 4 sets of GN desilters, 32 sets of GN centrifugal pumps as well as 48 sets of GN mud agitators and 8 sets of GN mud hopper.

For the shale shaker, we designed and manufactured a mud distributor for two sets of shale shakers, here we call it dual connection GN shale shaker. So our client has 4 groups Dual Shaker, which has a very large treating capacity, because even one set of GN shale shaker can treating the drilling fluids upto 616 GPM m³/h.
Based on the above solids control equipments, it is obvious to know this is a three phase solids control system that our client wants to use.
1. Shale Shaker
GN shale shaker can separate solids to 100 microns. For this type of GNZS594, the dimension of shaker screens is 585mm X 1165mm, so the screens are replaceable with Swaco Mongoose screens.
2. Vacuum Degasser
The mud come from shaker will be sent to vacuum degasser to eliminate the air in drilling fluids. By using GN vacuum degasser, the drilling mud can be kept in a steady viscosity.
3. Desander and Desilter
GN desander and desiler can separate solids to 20 microns. The cylones on desander and desilter are all made of PU, which is really helpful to have a long time lifespan.

As we have talked last time, many world clients are coming to GN Solids Control Co for turnkey solutions on oil and gas industries. And GN is providing more and more drilling fluids control system for customers all over the world.
Regarding to ZJ 70D (2000 HP) system, we talked that this mud recycling system has 8 tanks for solids control. Today, let’s give you the brief introduction from what we end last time.
1. #5 Tank:
# 5 tank is a weighting and premixing tank. It has 2 separated compartments: one compartment is weighting compartment, with the volume of 52 m³ and effective volume 36.4 m³. The other one is heavy mud compartment, whose volume is 34m³ and effective volume is 23.8 m³.

On the top of this mud tank, it is equipped with 3 sets of mud agitator (15kw), 2 sets of mud guns. On the left end of this tank, it is mounted with 2 sets of weighting pumps (75kw). And on the bottom, the tank is fixed with 2 sets direct injection hoppers.
2. #6 tank:
This tank only has one compartment, which is used for supplying mud for centrifugal pumps. With the effective volume of 60.2 m³, this tank is fixed with 3 sets of mud agitator (15kw) and 2 sets of mud guns.
3. # 7 tank & # 8 tank:
For # 7 tank and # 8 tank, they are both storage tanks. And these two tanks are fixed with 3 sets of mud agitator (15kw) and 2 sets of mud guns.
4. Trip tank:
There are 1 set of mud agitator (15kw), 1 set of mud guns and 2 sets of feeding pumps mounted on this trip tank. The volume of this tank is 20 m³, while the effective volume is 14 m³.

PVOC Certificate for GN Mud System to Kenya

Recently, GN Solids Control(www.gnsolidscontrol.com) has manufactured a set of mud system for geothermal drilling, which will be delivered to Kenya. GN is specialized in designing and building up solids control system for oil and gas drilling, mud system for geothermal drilling, mud cleaning system for HDD drilling and tunneling. With its high quality and strict quality management standards and systems, GN has been the first API certified solids control company in China. This week, from Monday to Thursday, the customer visited GN factory for inspection. The testing was successfully finished, showing that the mud system performs well, though there were modification requirements posed by the customer. But before delivery, this system should be PVOC certified.

The full name of PVOC is Pre-Export Verification of Commodity. It is inspecting standards required by KEBS for exporting commodity to Kenya. If the commodity listed in PVOC content is inspected to be in compliance with PVOC, COC (certificate of commodity) will be issued for custom clearance; otherwise, the commodity will not be allowed into Kenya. GN mud system for geothermal drilling belongs to the catalog listed in PVOC, so COC is required for export; otherwise, GN mud system will not be allowed delivered to Kenya.

While the customer’s visit, we are also preparing documents required for PVOC. It is the first time we do this, so it is a little confusing and tough for us. But, with the help of an agent for PVOC, we finally summit the documents in this week, and it has been approved. The next step will be inspection of the commodity, it will happens last week. And is we get through the inspection, we will get the COC. Then GN mud system will be delivered to Kenya, and go into Kenya.
