GN SCREW CONVEYOR

 

GN Solids utilize a custom designed and constructed Screw Conveyor (Auger) as part of drilling waste management system. The Auger is designed with 12 feet per section which makes it to be standard spare parts for exchange with each other. The screw material utilized by GN is abrasive material which lasts longer than our competitors. The Screw Conveyor (Auger) is designed to offer an efficient, low cost, cuttings transport system for offshore and onshore drilling installations. The screw conveyor are manufactured to the highest safety standards and are fitted with protective grating or cover to prevent foreign bodies entering the conveyor system, and to of fer enhanced safety for all personnel.

Besides the Screw Conveyor, GN Solids Control also have the cuttings transfer pump for the movement of the drilling cuttings.

GN Screw Conveyor Features

The screw flights are made of wear-resistant and thicker manganese steel. According to the customer’s selection requirements, the screw flights can also be sprayed with wear-resistant coating to prolong its service life.

The reinforced frame outside of the conveyor provides high strength to the complete conveyor, which makes it suitable for horizontal or inclined installation.

The bearing seats of the screw conveyor are made of aluminum casting, with fine workmanship and stable performance.

Bearings adopt international famous brand NSK or FAG, which runs steadily and has long service life.

The screw conveyor adopts the upper cover or steel grating to quickly switch or both types cover available at the same time for customer’s option. The steel grating adopts a quick flip opening and closing form, which is convenient for observation and maintenance.

Intermediate connectors adopt small resistance intermediate bearing body to make the product feeding smoothly, uniformly and quickly in the process of operation.

The inner bearing housing is equipped with self-lubricating HWS alloy hanging bearing core with grease filling nozzle to facilitate the injection of grease, which makes the self-lubricating HWS alloy hanging bearing core more fully lubricated and prolongs the service life.

The shell cover plate is equipped with rubber sealing gasket, which can effectively prevent dust leakage during operation.

Electrical motors and gearbox are from well-known brands at home and abroad to ensure long-term stability of machinery.

According to customer’s requirement, the pull-wire switch can be installed on the conveyor to realize safety protection, and customized connection form of inlet port and outlet port are available.

GN VACUUM PUMP

The GN Sludge vacuum pump is a type of high load and strong suction capacity vacuum transferring pump, it is also called solids transferring pump or cuttings transfer pump. The unique structure design enables it work in the very tough circumstance with less maintenance. It is ideal equipment for transferring sludge with high solid content up to 80% and high specific gravity material. BIG BOWL DECANTER CENTRIFUGE FOR SOLIDS CONTROL

 

Decanter centrifuge is an important solids control equipment used in oilfield drilling projects. GN Solids Control build big bowls decanter centrifuges for the customers around the worlds. This big bowl decanter centrifuge is GN new designed model which has a long bowl body and larger diameter.

 

GN Big Bowl Centrifuge Optimized Design

GN big bowl centrifuge has a bowl length of 71 inches that could make the slurry stay longer time in the bowl. With 22-inch bowl diameter, the solid particles in the bowl will have a large G force which is helpful for solids settling on the inwall of the bowl. The upgraded material of stainless steel 2205 makes the bowl balance better. Besides the upgrade on the material and bowl design.

GN big bowl decanter centrifuge has several features:

VIST VACUUM SCREEN

 

ViST is Vacuum Screen Technology is to work with shale shakers to reduce drilling waste and recycle drilling fluids.

 

ViST was pending a patent design developed by GN Solids Control.  GN tested ViST with drilling fluids. It proved to be very efficient for recycling drilling fluids.

The ViST Pan is installed under the last screen or mounted externally. And a suction hose is connected to ViST vacuum unit. The compressed air from the air compressor or the rig air supply is required to create suction on the last screen surface, pulling additional fluid off the cuttings. It can reduce the liquid on the cuttings by 30-50%.

As a result,ViST maximizes the volume of recovered and reused fluids and it provides dryer cuttings. Dryer cuttings mean less drilling waste and more recovery drilling fluids. So ViST can save money for operators on drilling fluids and waste management.

GN AUTOMATIC CHEMICAL PREPARATION AND DOSING UNIT

 

GN automatic chemical preparation and dosing unit is often used in the preparation, storage, and dosing of powder chemicals. The whole set of devices integrates automatic preparation, dissolving, and dosing, and operates automatically; the quantitative screw conveying and timing vibration design of dry powder feeder can reduce the agglomeration of powder. The dry powder dosage and water inflow can be adjusted, and the corresponding concentration of the liquid chemical can be prepared according to the working conditions. The built in the electric control cabinet can control the whole preparation and dosing process.

 

The GN automatic dosing unit is widely used in wastewater and sewage treatment and other process media treatment in petroleum, chemical, paper, electric power, coal, pharmaceutical and food industries.

Because of its wide applicability, the automatic dosing the unit can be used with main dewatering equipment such as decanter centrifuge, screw press, and filter press for preparation and dosing flocculants solvent.

GN 3 PHASE DECANTER CENTRIFUGE

 

GN 3 phase decanter centrifuge is used to separate two liquid phases from one solid phase at the same time. As is known, decant centrifuge principle of separation is by G force. Because of the different densities of the (immiscible) liquids and the solid , so all three phases can be discharged simultaneously using the GN 3 Phase decanter centrifuge. GN Solids Control design and manufacture three phase decanter in different bowl size include: 350mm, 450mm and 520mm.

However, to do the 3 phase separation, the solid phase must be the specifically heaviest phase and the two liquid phases should have different densities.

The structure and principle of the three phase decanter centrifuge are similar to the two phase decanter centrifuge. The difference is the way of the liquid discharged. There are two liquid phases in separation in a 3 phase decanter centrifuge. A higher density liquid phase is discharged under pressure, and the lower density liquid is discharged without pressure. SCREW PUMP OR POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMPS

 

GN Solids control presents its Positive Displacement Pumps with the GNG Screw Pump series in its different presentations, depending on the work flow, we have them from 10 to 90 m3 / h and 4kW to 22kW. These positive displacement pumps are hydrostatic equipment. They pump a defined volume regardless of engine revolutions, but virtually independent of pressure. A positive displacement pump is one that displaces (delivers) the same amount of fluid for each rotation cycle of the pumping element.

 

These pumps are ideal for feeding centrifugal decanters without agitating the drilling mud. The main parts are the screw shaft (rotor) and the screw shaft bushing (stator). Due to the special geometric shape of the two parts, they form the pressurizing capacity separately. The fluids flow along with the shaft, the internal flow speed is slow, the capacity remains, the pressure is constant, so it will not generate vortices or agitation. The pump shaft is made of stainless steel, the GNG series pump is available for options with a full stainless steel body.

The GNG centrifugal feed pump can be driven by the coupler or adjust the speed using a variable speed motor, triangle V-belt, gearbox, etc. G series positive displacement pump with fewer accessories, compact structure, small volume, easy maintenance, rotor and Stator are wear parts of this pump, it is convenient to replace. The stator is made of elastomeric material, so it has particular advantages over other pumps for transferring fluids with high viscosity and included hard suspended particles.

SCREW PRESS SLUDGE DEWATERING MACHINE

 

GN screw press sludge dewatering machine is a kind of economic and environmentally friendly sludge dewatering equipment. It is a new type of sludge extrusion dewatering equipment by using the principle of screw extrusion, through the strong squeezing force generated by the change of screw diameter and screw pitch, and the tiny gap between the floating ring and the fixed ring, to realize solid-liquid separation. FEATURES OF SCREW PRESS DEWATERING MACHINE

The main body of the screw press sludge dewatering machine is a filtration device composed of a fixed ring and moving ring, through which the screw axis runs. The front section is for concentration and the back section is for dewatering.

The filtering gap formed between the fixed ring and the moving ring of the dewatering screw press and the pitch of the screw axis gradually decreased from the concentration section to the dewatering section.

The rotation of the screw press shaft not only pushes the sludge from the concentration section to the dewatering section but also continuously drives the moving ring to clean the filtering gap to prevent clogging.

After gravity concentration in the concentration section, sludge is transported to the dewatering section. In the process of advance, with the gradual decrease of filtering gap and screw pitch, and the blocking effect of backpressure plate, a great internal pressure is generated; leading the volume is constantly reduced, so as to achieve the purpose of full dewatering.

GN 3 PHASE DISC STACK SEPARATOR

GN 3 phase disc stack separator is a high-speed, stable, sealed, efficient, and automatic slag discharge 3 phase separation equipment. It is widely used for liquid, liquid, solid 3-phase separation or liquid-liquid separation. The 2-phase solid-liquid separation disc separator has only one liquid discharge port and one slag discharge port, while the 3-phase disc separator has two liquid discharge ports and one slag discharge port, which can separate two liquids with different specific gravity at the same time. It can also discharge solid phase materials. Compared with the 3-phase decanter centrifuge, the 3-phase disc separator has a larger rotation speed and G force.

The 3-phase decanter centrifuge usually has a separation factor of about 3000G, while the 3-phase disc stack separator G force is up to 12000G. Therefore, the 3-phase disc separator can more thoroughly separate liquids with different specific gravity and the liquid phase discharged is more clarified. However, compared to 3 phase decanter centrifuges, 3 phase disc separator is more used to separate materials containing fine particles, with fewer solids content. So before entering the 3-phase disc separator, the material can be separated by the decanter centrifuge for pre-stage separation to reduce the solids content and remove big particles.

Working principle

The separated material enters into the heart of the machine, that is, the inside of the bowl. Under the action of strong centrifugal force, the material passes through a set of disc bundle separation intervals. With the neutral holes of the disc as the interface, the liquid with larger specific gravity moves along the disc wall towards the outside the neutral hole, where heavy slag accumulates in the sediment area, and the heavy phase liquid flows upward to the centripetal pump; the lighter liquid with a smaller specific gravity moves along the disc wall into the neutral hole and converges to the lower centrifugal pump. The light and heavy liquid phases are discharged by the lower centrifugal pump and the upper centripetal pump respectively; the heavy slag is regularly discharged; continuous production is implemented.
