One of the processes used by the centrifugal decanter for the development of separation of solids and liquids is the fish industry.

For the fishmeal process, it begins its flow with cooking for the coagulation of the protein, with this process the bound water and oil are released, the separation by pressing of the coagulated product obtaining), a liquid stage (Press Liquor ) containing water and the rest of the solids (oil, dissolved or suspended protein, other nutrients such as vitamins and minerals) and a solid stage called (Press Cake).

 

The main part of the sludge in the Press Liquor is removed by centrifugation in a Decanter and the oil is by default extracted by centrifugation, due to the high G forces that our GN Decanters have and their materials used make an efficient separation. The Cola Water is concentrated in a multi-effect evaporator and the Concentrate is mixed vigorously with the Press Cake, which is then usually dehydrated in a sedative. The dried material is ground and stored in bags or in bulk. The extracted oil is stored in custom-designed tanks for later use or treatment that may be done in another process.

      • Easy opening mechanism is used so that one man can open the collection box cover for easy access of equipment
      • Hydraulic removing mechanism is built into main shaft, which reduced pulling force by 90% when removing main bearings, this helps to ensure the safety of the bearing and high precision parts
      • All the rotating parts are made with high accuracy CNC machine. After that 3 step dynamic balancing is done. One is the balancing of rotating assembly at 1800RPM, balancing at real high speed and the balancing of whole machine to ensure stable operation of the decanter centrifuge at high speed
