While the maintenance schedule presented in this section is not rigid, modifications should be based on experience with operating the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gnsolidsamerica.com\/contact.html\">Mud Agitator<\/a> at your facilities. A maintenance log should be kept to help establish a routine maintenance schedule, as well as to monitor and adjust the schedule as necessary throughout the equipment\u2019s life. Consider the following factors when establishing a maintenance schedule: <br \/>\u2022 Duty cycle <br \/>\u2022 Ambient temperature <br \/>\u2022 Operating environment <br \/>ROUTINE MAINTENANCE <br \/>The following maintenance routine must be performed at least daily, or each shift if possible. <br \/>These activities may be performed while the degasser is operating.<br \/>The table below contains the recommended maintenance schedule for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gnsolidsamerica.com\/company-profile.html\">drilling waste management<\/a> . For <br \/>additional maintenance instructions such as troubleshooting and parts replacement, refer to the <br \/>manufacturer\u2019s literature in Section 12 &#8211; Supplier Data.<br \/>Inspection <br \/>Clean and inspect motor approximately every 500 hours of operation or every 3 months, <br \/>whichever comes first, using the following procedure: <br \/>1. Clean the motor and ventilation openings. Check that motor interior and exterior are free of <br \/>dirt, oil, grease, water, or other contaminant. Proper ventilation prevents overheating and <br \/>premature failure. <br \/>2. Using a Megger, check insulation resistance of motor winding periodically, and immediately <br \/>investigate cause of any significant drop in insulation resistance. <br \/>3. Check that all electrical connections are secure.<br \/>Bearing Lubrication <br \/>The upper motor bearing should be lubricated every 12,000 hours.
